Recently I had the pleasure of photographing a small, private wedding at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens in Mt Coot-tha for Paul and Phuong (aka Katty).
Paul and Phuong are a couple whose love for each other is clearly evident. Not in a showy, over-the-top manner, but a quiet, playful and endearing way. They have great respect and admiration for each other. And on their special day there was no fuss, no bells-and-whistles or grandiose plans of a big, flashy wedding. Though I suspect they will be saving any fanfare for a separate wedding in Phuong's home country of Vietnam.
As their wish for a simple, uncomplicated day, so was their request for wedding photos. So without any fanfare, here are a selection of my favourite photos and teasers of Paul and Phuong's Australian wedding.
I hope you like them...and more importantly, I hope that Paul and Phuong love them too!
* P.S. Phuong is a very talented young woman, who is a make-up artist and also a cake chef (amongst other things) who worked for a large international hotel in Vietnam and has published books on cake making. Phuong made her own wedding cake, so photos of her cake were understandably very important to her, and you'll see a couple of them below.
